Meet The Founder

Dr. Raj Dholia

Dr. Raj grew up in southern Illinois in a small town called Salem. Growing up in a close-knit society instilled a sense of community and partnership that he has carried with him into the Charlotte, NC area. Dr. Raj completed his undergraduate at St. Louis University graduating with honors and his dental degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Raj’s passion for dentistry came in part from his own experiences needing dental work.

Dr. Patel is one of the most highly educated dental implant providers in the area having completed several hundred hours of continuing education on the topic at the prestigious Alabama Implant Education program. He went on to do an implant-focused residency program also at Alabama to gain even more skills to serve his patient’s needs. Additionally, he is able to provide exceptional family/routine care so that all patients are able to be served in our area.

Unlike many dentists, Dr. Patel will openly discuss with the patient that he too was not the “ideal patient” growing up and subsequently spent a lot of time on the patient side of the dental chair. It was there where his passion for improving oral health originally developed and he places an emphasis on a no-judgment environment for patients who are seeking routine, cosmetic/implant, or comprehensive treatment.

After this stage, healing caps are usually left in place for several weeks to allow the gum tissue to form properly. Patients then spend months wearing plastic dentures before receiving a temporary implant-supported bridge, followed by the final permanent prosthesis.
